Eric Pointer ’12

I am currently a Morning Reporter at Fox59/CBS4 in Indianapolis, IN. Our station is a FOX and CBS duopoly affiliate.

Some of my duties include:

• Gathering and writing news content with a digital-first workflow that develops into an on-air presentation.
• Cultivating social media engagement through the use of unique and compelling storytelling methods.
• Managing and coordinating information during breaking news for digital and on-air platforms before the competition.

I have investigative experience as a founding member of the KSLA News 12 Investigative team. As a member, I was responsible for generating in-depth reports through extensive research and public records requests. I also had the opportunity to attend the Investigative Reporters and Editors (IRE) conference summer of 2016.
