Introduction to Modular Forms 

basics of modular forms, with topics to be 
included being:
* Geometry of the upper half plane
* Definitions of modular forms and cusp forms
* Construction of Eisenstein series
* Hecke operators
* Atkin-Lehner operators
* L-functions and functional equations
* additional topics as time permits

The prerequisite is Complex Analysis (617) as well as standard undergraduate material (equivalent to 415-416, etc).
