Biography

Rachel is the Coordinator of Student Services for the Texas A&M Health Science Center College of Medicine. In her role, Rachel is responsible for coordinating Orientation for first year medical students and making sure that all incoming medical students are ready for matriculation. She also coordinates White Coat Ceremony as well as assists in the planning and execution of Commencement Ceremonies. Throughout the school year, Rachel serves as the primary advisor to all 14 College of Medicine student organizations as well as oversees all student organization financial accounts, helps coordinate fundraising activities, and coordinates all other student events throughout the year such as Cadaver Ball and Cadaver Memorial. On a day to day basis, she distributes information to the students regarding pertinent issues, events and policies, maintains student insurance and immunizations records and is there as a mentor. On interview days for medical school (every Thursday during the Fall), Rachel also helps in recruiting efforts by presenting to applicants on student life.

While at Texas A&M, Rachel studied abroad in Bonn, Germany and was a member of Alpha Phi Omega. She received a B.A. in Speech Communication and a minor in Business Administration.

Rachel’s true passion is music. She is a singer in the River of Life band at her church and often stays up way too late playing her guitar. She also loves playing board games, spending time with friends and family, and grilling food (especially during Aggie Football season).
