Our dedicated team of photographers and videographers is committed to crafting compelling storytelling and marketing content throughout the college. We strive to enhance the visual narrative of our institution, capturing the essence of our vibrant community.

MISSION: The Visual Media Team’s mission is to create compelling and high-quality visual content that not only captures the vibrant academic experience in the College of Arts and Sciences but also strategically markets our programs, students, faculty, and staff as it builds awareness and identity. By showcasing the unique stories and achievements within our community, we aim to enhance the college's reputation, attract prospective students and faculty, and engage a wider audience on state, national and global scales.

SCOPE: Photo/video services are strictly limited to the external representation, marketing, and promotion of ArtSci-related activities and events only.

The Visual Media Team reserves the right to review all requests for photo/video services to ensure the need for photo/video and that the time and resources of the photographer/videographer are being utilized in a way that best serves the college’s marketing initiatives.

Photo and video services we provide:

  • Videos and photos that showcase our student, faculty and staff and their work
  • Faculty and staff portraits by appointment
  • Student academic competitions, projects and showcases
  • Hands-on learning experiences
  • Research projects
  • Student life and university traditions
  • Outreach programs and major public events

Photo and video services we do not provide currently:

  • Internal department-hosted events including luncheons, colloquiums, lectures and panel discussions (with limited exceptions).
  • Major event photo/video booths
  • Livestreaming or full-event video coverage
  • Student photo portraits

ALTERNATIVES: Creating effective, high-quality photo/video content is a rewarding yet time-consuming process, especially in video production where storyboards, planning, multiple shoots and editing are often required. We understand your event is important, but unfortunately, due to the high demand for photo/video services, not every request can be accommodated.

Should your request fall outside our scope, or should a photographer/videographer be unavailable for your event, please consider the following:

  • If you are an experienced photographer or videographer, you may request to borrow a camera from the Evans Library.
  • Outsourcing to a university-approved freelance photographers/videographers. You would be responsible for contracting and paying for freelance services if you choose this option.
  • Submit a request to the Texas A&M Division of Marcom.
