Certificates

This certificate offers students the opportunity to develop a thorough grounding in the interdisciplinary field of Africana studies. Africana studies is the analysis of the lives, thoughts and broadly-defined creations of people of African ancestry on the African continent and throughout the world.

The certificate of Proficiency in Modern Languages is designed to prepare undergraduate students for jobs and/or graduate programs requiring a strong command of one of those languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Russian, and Spanish) by providing them with an internationally-recognized marker of proficiency.
