Biography

Paul’s research interests reflect his upbringing of moving around the United States frequently growing up. He is interested in migration and the effects movers and natives have on each other. Recent work focuses on the economic integration of newly arrived refugees to the United States. Before coming to Texas A&M, he earned his Master’s in Arts degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He has earned several prestigious awards, including the National Science Foundation’s Graduate Research Fellowship Program. He currently works with the U.S. Census Bureau creating new methodologies to use administrative records (for example: tax, birth, and death records) to generate datasets for social science.
