Classroom Use Procedures & Rules

  • Arrive 10-15 minutes before the start of class to test your presentation/video/audio files.
  • Use your own NetID to log into the podium computers, logging out a previous user if necessary. Using someone else's NetID is against university computer security rules.
  • Use a USB device for storage of lecture files. Do not store permanent data (lectures, shortcuts, videos, etc.) on the podium computers as they are periodically wiped to ensure consistent operation. Log off when finished using the podium computers.
  • Do not shutdown the podium computers.
  • Turn off the projector and/or document camera at the conclusion of your lecture.
  • Place all miscellaneous components (microphone, remotes, tablets, etc..) back on the podium at the conclusion of your lecture.
  • Do not remove cables (network, power, audio, etc...) connected to the podium computers.
  • Software requests must be submitted 21 days before the beginning of the semester.
  • For classroom equipment problems, contact Tim Pehl in Chemistry 2401, 845-2632.
